About Us
FORT BEND AGGIE MOMS’ CLUB
***CELEBRATING 43 YEARS***
The Fort Bend Aggie Moms’ Club is an organization of approximately 150 mothers, stepmothers and guardians of students and former students of Texas A&M University. The purpose of this club is to serve our students in an organized and direct manner in the same spirit which we serve them as individuals, to aid in promoting Texas A&M University and to foster a feeling of cooperation and understanding between the faculty students and members of this club.
The Fort Bend Aggie Moms’ Club provides friendship, education, networking and support for our members, our students and the university. With the Federation of Texas A&M Mothers’ Clubs of Texas, we seek to support students through scholarships and donations to campus organizations by participation of our members in fundraising events throughout the year. In 2009 we will take on a new look as we host “The Howdy Hoedown”, which will include an evening of dinner, dancing, auctions and entertainment by Cooper Wade.
Our scholarship program is open to any Texas A&M University student from Fort Bend County who meets the qualifying criteria. Selection is based on a combination of factors including accomplishment and need. Last year’s event enabled us to help twenty-two students by awarding $18,625 in scholarships and $3,450 to support campus organizations.
